Kate O’Donoghue is a writer from Long Island. She earned her MFA from Purdue University, where she now teaches poetry and creative writing. Her poetry has appeared or is forthcoming in Bennington Review, Ninth Letter, Pleiades, DIAGRAM, and elsewhere. After serving as a poetry editor for Sycamore Review and an assistant poetry editor for The Nation, Kate spent time as a freelance comics journalist, and she has had comics criticism published in venues like The Gutter Review, Popverse, AIPT, and Shelfdust. She is proud to be a first-generation American and a first-generation college graduate; she writes prose and poetry about American pop culture from extreme angles.
